Our dog was in heaven running off leash on the beach. Beach was filled with fun agates to admire. Campsites are well spaced out so it was quiet. The ecology in this park is pristine just as it should be. Patrick’s Point is a fun camping spot that will have you oohing and aahing during your entire stay. And there are activities galore: hike the trails, explore tidepools, learn about native history, hunt for semi-precious stones, or marvel at the adorable sea creatures. You’re surrounded by redwoods and rock formations, with a ton of outdoor activities. The park sits atop a lush promontory with expansive views of the rugged coast. There aren’t any hookups, but you get flush toilets, hot showers, and storage lockers. The park has three campgrounds with hike- and drive-in sites for tents and RVs. Patrick’s Point State Park is a 30-minute drive from Eureka, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
